Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
For those interested and/or those who may not know already, this month's magazine shows Ushi Origami (cow and cart), Mogyu Dai Oh, and Samurai HaOh.
EDIT: So this means it should be making its grand entrance sometime in the next month or so.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
It's not Mogyu Origami anymore, it is now Ushi Origami. Ushi means Cow.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
Thank you for that. I think I missed the change somewhere along the line so I changed the description to match.
Samurai HaOh looks nice as does ShinkenOh pulled on the cart. I think that has to be my favorite part of it cause I imagine the cow snorting and thowing its head about as it's running and pulling it.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
I thought the G-12 Combo in Go-Onger was a monstrosity. They keep getting worse. =p Really awesome though. However, I'm glad I'm not collecting Shinkenger Mecha at the moment, I'd be more broke then I already am!

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
I don't know if it's necessarily getting worse. I do think however that's it's another one of those cases where the show version looks much better than the toy version (Samuai HaOh).

The last Shinken mech looked rather cluttered....

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
It's probably because they tried to use every piece of every origami, which could be why saru and kame look kind of tacked on at the feet there. I do like the menacing look of ebi's claws and tora's drills on the hands. The rest is essentially just DaiKai ShinkenOh with Ebi, Ika, and Ushi slapped on the back of it.

I didn't like G-12 that much but then I got used to it and developed a certain liking to it...but Samuai Ha-Oh looks AWFUL. I mean how are you supposed to tell what part is what?

I think Samurai Ha-Oh represents someone who tried to make a beautiful Origami, failed, got frustrated, and crumpled it up in anger.

Yeah, it would look a lot better if they were 3 mechs instead of 1 massive one.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
Can't believe I spaced this place off. Maybe it's the stress of getting ready to move. I'm moving today, and it might be like 2 weeks until we get internet back. So I hope we get internet before pre-orders or if those are skipped, regular orders for Mogyuudaioh goes up. After all I am looking forward to that mecha.
Yes at first the Origami Concept was great, folding mecha, but that quickly faded from reality as Kabuto, kajiki Tora, Ika, Ebi, and even the upcomming Ushi origami don't fold like the main five. I probably would of preferred a Group power up like Legend form and a set of Folding super origami over the non folding components for Samuraiha-oh.
Each color could of easily been given a stronger element for a power up origami. Gold could of had a large Star shaped origami for the lobster with the kanji for light. I don't think I would of minded if say Ika, and one or two others didn't fold but for most the line to not have the folding aspect, it's kinda disappointing.
But anyways, I look forward to Ushiorigami/MogyuuDai-oh, even if it is a bit on the pricy side. Next year I think I'm JUST getting mecha instead of Mecha, weapons, and changers. Unless next year's gimmick involve lights and sounds IN the main toys, then I might go for the other stuff..

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
Yeah the lack of folding past the main 5 was a little disappointing although Ebi is nice as is. As for next year I'm definitely getting changers since those are my favorites and I might get mecha if the gimmick is good enough. The folding yanked me in for Shinkenoh and then the discs for everything else but they were only borderline worth it...until Inroumaru came out. Being able to differentiate between discs and having a special sound for each really made collecting them worth it.

I've neglected Shinkenger as a collector's item for now. I'm more worried about getting the W items.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
I've been doing both at the same time, which is a little difficult. Usually I do the Sentai show collecting then the Rider show, but the whole Decade schedule threw that out of whack. So now that money has gotten tighter being back in school, I have to try to choose between the two.

I find it a lot easier to focus on Kamen Rider than I do with Sentai.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
That's because Sentai has all the mechas especially in the past couple of years and they can get pretty pricey especially at this time of the year. Rider for the most part has the figures, the belt, the weapon, and the power up item.

Yeah, I like the figures most of all. I DO like to collect mechs but the older mechs are too pricey.

Re: Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
Well, the new magazine shows Mogyuu Bazooka coming soon, and apparently it can grow big and be used by Mogyu-DaiOh. You know, cause he needs to be more powerful than he already is.

I think Mogyudaioh is like the only Shinkenger mech that I would buy right now. It's beautiful!

Yes, but do you have money, and can you guarantee that someone with connections will not beat you to buying it?
